Another week of great javascript, tech and web development links
Hello and welcome to my newsletter!
Another season 2 instalment…
Another very difficult week where I am in South East Asia. Just short note because it’s been impossible to linkblog.
Wherever you are, if you have some foreigner that you know, be sympathetic to them. Where I am, I have noticed a dramatic increase in harassment, and on more than 1 occasion, of a sexual nature. It’s difficult to talk about for fear of retribution but I think it’s such a noticeable difference to only a few weeks ago, it’s worth mentioning. I have found it difficult to keep a level head and not loose my cool. These events are persistent and daily, often hourly.
The current world situation is strange, but be aware that your foreigner acquaintances might be having a tough time, and it often happens in ways that are not easily viewable, and in my experience at times co-ordinated across multiple locations. It’s quite scary stuff.
I wish you all the best for the week ahead.
That’s all from me this week…
I hope you enjoy the links!
As usual all the articles from the linkblog in chronological order are included below, which is also a good way to explore, there are some pieces there amongst the main summary items that didn’t make it into the main themes, but these are interesting in their own right, and often end up developing into something more substantial further down the line.
