Saturday 12th February, 2022 - Alternative simulation theory
Another week of great javascript, tech and web development links.
Hello and welcome to my newsletter!
Another season 2 instalment…
An unordered list:
It’s Saturday
It’s nice weather outside
I wrote some quite good code earlier
I’m feeling moderately alright
[Pauses, looks tentatively around…]
Good time to send out a newsletter :)
Yep it’s still season 2. I know.
If I had to pull some words out of a hat to describe the past few weeks, they would be, in no particular order: multi-scale, multi-plexed and intertwined. Like an ongoing maths proof where different sides of an unbelievably complicated maths equation get progressively cancelled out, one therefore after another.
All this talk of being in a simulation but I’m feeling like I’m living in a maths equation. Maybe I’m simulating a maths equation?
Seriously world, what’s up with the maths equation simulation thing?
[Pauses again…looks tentatively around again…]
Ok enough of the existential ramblings, on with the newsletter … :)
I’ve written a couple of blog posts:
I haven’t been collecting many written articles lately, but I have listened to some great podcasts. Here are a few that I think fit relatively well with the general newsletter theme, even if they aren’t all about javascript:
The Next Generation of VCs, in depth with Finn Murphy, frontline ventures (Tech.eu Podcast)
Interviews with Andrew Yang (Duncan Trussel Podcast)
Shop Talk Show Episode 500 - 10 years of podcasting every week, it’s a big accomplishment, and a nice trip down memory lane (Shop Talk Show)
Tamas Piras on Islands Architecture, astro and media usage (That’s My Jamstack Podcast)
A Global History of Free Speech (Techdirt Podcast)
That’s all from me…
Best reguards,
Mark
